Like what we're doing? Come experiment with us.
To become Seattle’s foremost community resource for accessible
and innovative STEM education, we need you, our neighbors.
Here are ways that you can help.
Host a Pop-Up
Do you work for community organization with a similar mission? Are you a local business owner looking to highlight the science behind your work? Are you a parent who wants more STEM programs at your library or community center?
Pop-Up Science works to bring new and custom education programs to a variety of local businesses, nonprofits, and city organizations. Indoor, outdoor, short-term, long-term, we're not picky—email us to nominate a location or start a conversation about your own.
Showcase Your Science
Not every lab, firm, or proposal is open to staff taking time off for education. And not every outreach program offers exactly what you need. But still, it is absolutely critical for professionals to get out there—our community needs it, our fields need it, and you need it, too. Because, whether your boss gets it or not, twenty-first century research is home for a completely different breed of scientist and engineer: professionals who can not only solve problems, but communicate those problems to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
Pop-Up Science was built by scientists, for scientists. It is a flexible outlet for existing and emerging STEM professionals to explore how to make space in their careers for education and outreach. Our programs are diverse in both content and commitment--which means you have complete control over how you choose to reach out with us. Whether it's consulting remotely on curriculum or getting hands-on with kids on a rainy day hike, we have a range of opportunities that can give you strong communication skills while still fitting in with your work-life interests.
Help us activate your community to engage with STEM.

Supplies & Donations
Pop-Up Science runs on the generous fiscal and in-kind donations of you, our local supporters. Whether it's 50 marker parks from Scout Troop 2916 or a one-day loan of a 7' kiddie pool, we appreciate any and all the ways our neighbors support us.
Whoever you are, if you’re passionate about science, technology, art, social equity, and/or your community, we could use your help. We especially love getting student volunteers, from middle school to college freshmen to graduate students. Join the movement and pop-up with us today!
